Hello, I'm Krista.

I started out as a painter and, after 10 years, the Universe threw me into photography. I've been a photographer now for 20 years, learning all aspects of old school analog film photography, working as a professional master darkroom printer and then transitioning to digital when that tidal wave took over the industry. My specialties are portraits, journalistic storytelling, events and animals/pets. I continue to do oil paintings from photographs, so I enjoy the best of both worlds. Capturing the perfect moment is easy for me, as I grew up doing competitive gymnastics...I believe it helped hone my photographic skills with capturing people and experiences due to my quick reflexes and natural aesthetic vision.
