Hi! My name is Juliet. I've been doing this photography thing for awhile now and have a couple family shoots under my belt. In general​,​ I try not to take the session (or myself) too seriously. Taking photos with the family shouldn't be stressful or difficult. Looking back​,​ you should remember the photo session as something that was fun and lighthearted​,​ not one full of forced poses and and saying "cheese" over and over again (with that said​,​ of course I understand the importance of including classic family group photos). Typically​,​ my approach is to pick an activity that you guys like to do​,​ whether it be visiting a park or going for a walk​,​ and let the moments happen organically.
